Michael E. Gibson, age 73, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

He was born August 9, 1951, in Winchester, Kentucky to David Eugene and Sue Ellen (Rose) Gibson.  He married Cathy Sue Eleam, of Flora, on April 20, 1979, in Williamstown, Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife: Cathy Gibson of Flora; a son: Shawn (Alison) Gibson of Flora; a daughter: Victoria Tomlinson (Sean) Gilliland of Hilliard, Ohio; grandchildren: Emily and Zachary Tomlinson of Lexington, Kentucky, Kaitlyn Gibson of Ohio, Hayden Gibson of Fort Sam, Houston, Texas, Shannon (Austin) Hartke of Watson, and Damian Homer of Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Richard (Jessie) Gibson of Central City, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Allen Gibson.
