CLAY COUNTY SHERIFF'S REPORT

Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers released the following activity report on Tuesday.

On March 1, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Henry J. Dietz, 64, of Farina, for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine as a result of a traffic stop in the area of North State Road and Hickory Hill Lane in Flora.

On March 2, Jason J. Lindsey, 43, of Fairfield, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors. Lindsey was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 6, Garion C. Sheraden, 20, of Salem, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge for Driving on Suspended License. Sheraden was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

On March 8, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 200 block of West Street in Xenia. As a result of this investigation Melissa L. Herrin, 42, Fairfield, was issued citation for Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle. There were no reported injuries.

On March 8, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Draven C. Jenkins, 23, of Iuka, for the offense of Speeding as a result of a traffic stop in the area of West North Avenue and North Worthey Street.

On March 8, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of damage to Village of Louisville property. As a result of this investigation Alexander L. Smith, 19, of Louisville and two juveniles were issued citations for Reckless Operation/All Terrain Vehicle on village property.

On March 9, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Derek A. Higgins, 43, of Xenia, for the offense of Unregistered/Expired Registration as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Highway 50 and North State Street in Flora.

On March 9, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Andrew T. Mosby, 39, of Moro, for the offense of Speeding as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Highway 50 and Hemlock Lane in Flora.

On March 9, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Riley A. Lynn, 21, of Noble, for the offense of Speeding as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Dieterich Blacktop and Mint Lane in Clay City.

On March 10, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Katie L. Miller, 40, of Noble, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge(s) of Violation of Order of Protection and Unlawful Use of Weapon. Miller was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 14, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident in the area of Iola Lane and Highway 45 in Louisville. As a result of this investigation Samuel D. Bunton,19, of Louisville was issued citation for Failure to Obey Stop Sign. There were no reported injuries.

On March 15, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Garrette W. Schofield, 22, of Flora, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Schofield was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 16, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to a juvenile for the offense of Speeding as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Highway 45 and Palm Lane in Louisville.

On March 16, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident in the 100 Block of Hardy Hills Road. As a result of this investigation a juvenile was issued citation for Unlicensed. There were no reported injuries.

On March 16, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Taylor R. Pride, 24, of Clay City, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for the original offense of Criminal Trespass to Real Property. Pride appeared in Clay County Court and was granted Pretrial Release.

On March 17, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Taylor R. Pride, 24, of Clay City, for the offense of Theft following an on-going investigation in the 200 block of Blackberry Drive in Clay City.

On March 17, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shaina N. Pickens, 39, of Clay City, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Pickens was additional charged with Possession of Methamphetamine in the 500 block of Washington Street in Clay City.

On March 18, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Autumn M. Schreier, 29, Louisville, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) on the original charge for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse as a result of an ongoing investigation. Schreier was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 19, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tammy N. Staley, 41, of Xenia, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for the original charge Methamphetamine Deliver<5 Grams. Staley was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. Staley appeared in Clay County Court and was granted pre-trial release.

On March 22, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Domestic Disturbance in the 4000 Block of Vandalia Road in Louisville. As a result of this investigation, Jody R. Beccue, 39, of Louisville, was arrested for Domestic Battery. Beccue was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 25, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Xzavier J. Young, 18, of Clay County, for the offense of Theft, as result of on-going investigation in the 900 block of South Main Street in Clay City. Young was transported to the sheriff’s office and was given a Notice to Appear and released.

On March 27, the Clay County Sheriff’s office arrested Mathew J. Mcwhorter, 34, of Flora and Natasha Ferguson, 32, of Flora for Possession of Methamphetamine as a result of a traffic stop in the 900 Block of South Main Street in Clay City. Mcwhorter was also arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Mcwhorter and Ferguson were both transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 28, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Aaron J. Pogue, 33, of Johnston City, for Improper Passing/Meeting Vehicle as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Highway 50 and Dutchhale Road in Clay City.

On March 29, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of West Elizabeth Street and Maine Street in Iola for a single-vehicle accident. As a result of this investigation Anthony W. Anderson, 54, of Farina, was arrested for Improper Traffic Lane Usage and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Anderson was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

On March 30, Raymond E. Dugan, 62, of Clay City, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Operating. Cancelled/Revoked/Suspended Illinois Registration. Dugan was given a Notice to Appear and released.

On March 30, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1100 block of Steel Lane in Louisville for a report of a domestic disturbance that had occurred prior. As a result of this investigation Michael A. Phillips, 38, of Louisville, was arrested for Domestic Battery, two counts of Aggravated Battery Child <13 years, Aggravated Domestic Battery/Strangle. Phillips was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 31, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Domestic Disturbance in the 300 Block of Woods Lane in Louisville. As a result of this investigation Jacob C. Schoonover, 18, of Louisville, was arrested for Domestic Battery. Schoonover was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

The charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
