LAKELAND COMPUTER CONTEST 4/11/25 Flora
High School students attended the annual Lake Land College Business and
Computer Contest on Thursday. Students took individual tests and then competed
in a scavenger hunt. Adam
Pietz placed third in Microsoft Word, Payton Scroggins placed third in General
Business, and Quentin Black placed first in Microsoft Excel. Elena Warren tied
for first place in Accounting; the tie-breaker was based on time and she was
awarded second place, Kristen Pipher placed first in Microsoft Word with a
perfect score of 1000, and Ella Cammon placed first in Microsoft PowerPoint
with a perfect score of 1000. First
place winners received a three-hour tuition waiver and a $50 gift card to the
bookstore; second place winners received a $30 gift card to the bookstore; and
third place winners received a $20 gift card to the bookstore. The
students also placed second in the scavenger hunt and received a nice basket of
