CLAY COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT

Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers released the following activity report on Wednesday.

On April 1, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 7000 Block of Old Highway 50 in Flora for a property dispute. As a result of this investigation Steven M. Moore, 32, of Flora, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and two counts of Unlawful Possession of Weapon by felon. Moore was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 1, Bryan A. Yager, 49, of Dundas, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge(s) of Driving while License Revoked and Endangering the Life or Health of a Child. Yager was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 3, Jessica R. Cochran, 25, of Clay City, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge(s) of Domestic Battery and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Cochran was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 3, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of East Chestnut Street and Caroline Drive in Louisville. As result of this investigation Hali P. Lackey, 25, of Clay City, was issued citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid Accident. Lackey was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

On April 5, the Clay County Sheriff’s responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Highway 45 and Palm Lane in Louisville. As a result of this investigation Schara D. Eller, 33, of Edgewood, was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid Accident. There were no reported injuries.

On April 7, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Harold L. Cooper, 61, of Flora, on a Clay County Warrant ($500.00 Cash Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Driving while License Suspended. Cooper also had an Effingham County Warrant (No Bond) for a Failure to Appear on the original charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. Cooper was additionally charged with Possession of Methamphetamine as a result of a traffic stop in the area of East 3rd Street and North Olive Street in Flora. Cooper was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 7, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Blue Mound Road and Blue Ash Lane in Flora. As a result of this investigation Mark A. Engelstad, was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid Accident. There were no reported injuries.

On April 8, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dakota J. Wilson, 21, of Flora, on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge of Domestic Battery. Wilson was additionally charged for Violating Pre-trial Release following an investigation in the 1000 Block of Sparrow Lane in Louisville. Wilson was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 8, Brandon D. Evans, 35, of Watson, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for original charge of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse/>5 Year Older Victim. Evans was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 9, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Matthew D. Bickley, 57, of Louisville, was arrested on a Clay County Warrant (No Bond) for a Contempt of Court on the original charge(s) for Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Criminal Damage to State Supported Property and Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. Bickley was transported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 14, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office issued citation to Steven Ricketts, 51, of Louisville, for the offense of Driving with No Valid License as a result of a traffic stop in the area of Iola Lane and Wren Drive in Louisville.

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
