OUTSTANDING RACES MADE OFFICIAL 4/18/25 Clay
County Clerk Amy Britton reports that overlapping county votes and mail in
votes have now been counted and the April 1st vote has now been made
official. At
the end of voting on April 1st there were 3 races that still could
be influenced by mail in ballots and ballots cast in Wayne and Richland
Counties. In the Clay City School Board race between incumbent Mistey Lindeman
and Loranda Banker only 62 votes separated the two. With final votes counted
the winner is Misty Lindeman with 277 votes to Bankers 203. The
Hoosier Township Trustee race was also too close to call. With four to be
elected Josh Schnepper had 84, Darin Quinn with 71, Tony Groves with 69, and
Jim Fleener 60 and Darla Murphy had 53 votes. The
last race that was too close to call was the Clay City Township Trustee race. With
4 to be elected the final vote shows Kevin Hery with 178, Eric Stanley with
163, Larry Harvel with 158, Maverick French with 122. Dwight Hancock received
114 votes, and Loranda Banker had 69.
