WAYNE COUNTY ACCIDENT

A 32-year-old Iuka resident, Tanner L. White, was struck by a 2022 Cadillac driven by Lee Ann Crane, 57, of Fairfield, as White attempted a turn off of Route 15 at the Merriam Crossroads in Wayne County, at 9:39 am Wednesday morning.

The collision occurred when Crane began to pass a 2024 John Deere crop sprayer that was driven by White, and other vehicles.  During the pass, White made a turn onto a county road and was struck by Crane.

Crane was taken to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries, while White reported no injuries to Wayne County deputies.

Deputies cited Crane for driving on the left side of the road.
